Day One.

Dear Reader,

I awoke at 10:00am feeling abnormally bloated after battered sausage and chips the night before, I opted not to eat anything in the morning, substituting any sort of breakfast for a mug of caramel flavored black coffee at 1:00pm.

11:20pm -

Feeling slightly less bloated and made a conscience effort to look presentable as I was going to school, as my friends were coming home from a week long trip to Austria. It was absolutely lovely to see them again, having missed my best friend like crazy - I don't do well away from her for too long.

1:00pm -

Nursing a now slightly deflated stomach, feeling slightly ill, I sipped on a black coffee and wrote out my CV with my dad, applying to a couple of new jobs locally. I changed from my tight fitting dress and stomach digging tights into some leggings and comfy jumper, ready for my skin consultation at 2:15pm. I made the effort to drive, freaking out a few cyclists and narrowly avoiding running head on into a car...

3:30pm -

Having not eaten anything for the entire day but forever chewing on some gum completely cured my bloated tummy, and headed out to see two of my favourite girlies for a nice long dog walk to the pub. We indulged in a huge catch up, quick gossip and a couple of soft drinks sitting outside in the setting sun. How idyllic. By 6:00pm, I was home and instantly smelling the pleasentful aroma of frying fish with some delicious wizzed up bean pate thing. Whatever it was, it was light, healthy and delicious in every sense of the word. For dessert, I had a couple of pieces of dark hazlenut and raisen green and blacks chocolate.

9:00pm -

Made rice flour cookies for the family and got my mum to try them. Successfully refrained.

Tomorrow, I plan on finishing up coursework and then maybe pop out with Mumma for some herbal tea and a quick gossip.

Until next time

Woes of a former dancer

Dear Reader

After much consideration (about two minutes worth), I have decided, quite radically, to totally up-heave my lifestyle.
This includes my fitness, diet, social life and working life.

So, after about seven years of dancing, I made the decision to quit which was a huge surprise to pretty much everyone around me - a decision I will explore further in a separate post.
Since then, I have noticed both my fitness and diet has gone a little crazy, having indulged in all the things I couldn't whilst being a dancer, and realised a radical decline in the amount I actually exercise. Now, it being next  to nothing. When filling out medical forms I am always asked how many times a week I exercise and without hesitation I put FOUR, which is me still being in dancing mode.

My goals?

Fitness

Less of a goal, more a lifestyle choice. Just START DOING MORE. I used to be a pretty good runner, and would go jogging pretty much every evening after school last year in the summer with the dog, which is really something I hope to start again.

Diet

-NO Carbs
-NO Sweets
-NO Dairy

So, I'm basically going to be on vegetables and Quorn for the next few months. Which, ironically, I have no beef with. I like vegetables and quorn. They make me happy. Of course I will be substituting the protein I will be missing out on for other things (I have no clue yet because I suck at research)

Social Life

Make an effort to see my friends more and finally venture out to the terrifying world of nightclubs. They can't be that bad can they?

Working Life

I am currently a waitress but the work is infrequent because I work for my mum's catering company. So, as soon as my dad gets home, I am going to mend up my CV and stroll down to our local pub and enquire after any jobs - even if it's just as a pot wash, I'll take it!

So, that's it ladies and gents(?)

Hopefully I won't fuck up these promises to myself. Having fish & chips tonight as a send off to deliciously fattening food that we all have a guilty pleasure in.

Over and Out
